«Vision of 2030»: control of the unemployment file and reduce its proportions to 7%
Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, among its strategic objectives, has taken control of the growing unemployment rate in Saudi society by reducing the unemployment rate from 11.6 percent to 7 percent.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and Minister of Defense, affirmed that the plans adopted by Saudi Arabia 2030 will provide for the formation of a Saudi worker or employee to enter the labor market.
He added that the Saudi government plans to build partnerships with private sector institutions and companies, as well as visionary companies that will be government-owned at a high rate. All plans will have a clear role in job creation.
On the human capital side and investing in it, the vision will develop a plan to train and qualify Saudis to compete in the labor market, and to link education outcomes to market needs.
Statistically, young people under the age of 30 represent 67 per cent of Saudi society, which is described as a young society. Government expenditure is the main driver of the national economy and domestic output. Government projects are the real engine of the Saudi private sector.
